The Collective began with a single creative person with a vision to do things differently. The goal? Build something better than the traditional vendor model. Something more connected, more efficient, and way more fun for couples and clients. Now, with a huge team and multiple divisions working together under one roof, The Collective sets the new standard for events, aligning services, spaces and stays into one holistic experience.
We believe the best events don’t happen by accident, they’re built by aligned teams who know each other, trust each other, and care deeply about the experience from start to finish.
We’re here to raise the bar in the wedding and event industry. To make things smoother for clients, smarter for vendors, and to create space for elevated, unforgettable celebrations in the Canadian Rockies and beyond.
Today, The Collective is a full-service event company offering photography, planning, florals, décor, transportation, rentals, accommodation, venues and more, all powered by one unified team.
Our vision is to grow into a category-defining brand, setting new standards in the industry and creating experiences that simply don’t exist yet. New venues. New services. New ways to celebrate.
And always, a better way to do events.
Dr. Lindsay Pyrah is the heart and soul of The Collective. She began her professional life as an optometrist – but she found herself wanting something more. With profound conviction Lindsay took a leap, went all-in on herself, and Rocky Mountain Photo Co. was born.
From there, Lindsay did what she does best: creating opportunity. One by one, Lindsay began building up the various other divisions of The Collective, from weddings and events to elopements to eventually even owning and operating multiple event spaces within the Banff and Canmore area.
And yet somehow, even after all that, it still feels like Lindsay is just getting started.
Kind-hearted and tenacious, Lindsay is hard working, values-driven, and always on the lookout for the next adventure – and with her, fun and adventure always seem to be just around the corner!
Sipper of coffee and craft beer. Wearer of toques and Blundstones. Pup mom. Part-time backcountry explorer. Avid supporter of local, well, everything!
Kristin Nicol and her partner reside in Banff with their pup Casey where they enjoy spending their spare time camping, hiking, and skiing. Hailing from Ontario and always up for an adventure, Kristin now knows she was destined for life in the Rocky Mountains.
Kristin’s passion has always been people-focused. With over ten years in the hospitality and events industry, she is very much attracted to engaging with people, understanding their needs, and determining exactly how to go above and beyond to fulfill them.
Building and maintaining relationships is what drives Kristin’s purpose. She can’t wait to connect with you and help plan your dream one-of-a-kind wedding, intimate elopement or memorable event in Banff, Canmore, or the surrounding Rocky Mountain area.

She’s worked across multiple industries in copywriting, PR, digital media, TV, advertising, design and more, earning her the nickname “a Jaz of all trades." When she’s not working, she’s tattooing, creating ceramics, kayaking or adventuring outdoors in the mountains with her dog.

Those who know him well know he's just as comfortable with a good book as he is under the hood of a car.
